If the Ruger LCP is as nicely done as the LCR it'll be a sweet shooter. I'm thinking it's a 9mm but it could be a .380.

    I think VO has one.

I bought an LCP with a Crimson trace laser. It is a .380 I had it three weeks and sold it. It was accurate but the trigger pull just plain sucked and the recoil was worse than a .45 after a bit.

It's time for my obligatory 9mm disclaimer:

9mm is for women and pussies.

With that said, Glock 19 (my wife has one).

I got an LCP for myself for xmas, and yes it is a .380, but Ruger recently came out with a similar frame in 9mm. Smitty might have even posted a photo of it from the SHOT show. The LCP has a really long trigger pull (its only safety feature), and it beats me up after awhile, but I have no idea how the 9mm version shoots. The Glock 19 I can shoot all day long.

    I stand corrected.

Then again, my relaxed carry gun is an Airweight LadySmith .38SPL

Cal, 9mm is a small round, yes. But I can kill just as effectively with it as my .45.

As for issues with the Keltec, I've had none. It has screamed loads of rounds down range. My only issue is a long heavy trigger pull.

Then you may not shoot my suppressed .22 AR at the Sizzler.

Take a look at the SIG P6/225. German Police owned, and on the used pistol market now. Single stack mag, and a very sweet shooting pistol! Holsters for the 226 will fit it, and the gun carries really good. No complaints here!

We in South Africa are quite big fans of the 9mm. It was our military round for pistols and SMGs so ammo is cheap and easy to get. But more importantly, much of our crime nowadays features attacks by multiple armed assailants, so high magazine capacity is preferred. A lot of the crime is vehicle hijacking and the superior penetration power of the 9mm is admired when shooting through car doors or windows.
My personal everyday carry gun is however a Colt Cobra .38 sp. I like this only because of the light weight and compact dimensions and hope I can make the miserable 6 rounds last in a big confrontation.
That which is not forbidden, is compulsory.

Have a Kel Tec P11. 10 in the mag and one in the chamber. Not that much bigger than PF9. Can still pocket carry. Price is reasonable.

So did you ever decide on a new 9mm? I've been happy enough with my Ruger LCP, that I'm looking closely at their LC9.

After a lot of shooting since my last post I bought a Ruger SR9c and couldn't be happier. I shoot it better than my Glock 19.
