"Hi, I'm Scott and I am a high speed/low drag, barrel chested freedom fighter, Paratrooper/Halo Jumper and stumbled upon this place while surfing the internet. I joined the Army on 3 Jan 1972 and went to Basic Training at Ft Jackson, SC. Then on to Ft Benniing, Ga for jumpschool where we graduated on 14 April 72. Then it was onward to Ft Bragg, NC. I was assigned to B 1/504 (Abn) Inf, Devils in Baggy Pants, where I took AIT/OJT. I served with the 82nd from April 72 until Oct 77.
I then slid on down the street to Special Forces. I was assingned to A 2/7 SFG(A) from then until Aug 84. I received orders to go to Ft Lewis, Wa. where the 1st Group was re-activated. I spent exactly 1 year with 1st group and again received orders to go back to Bragg on Aug 85. I ended up a JFKSWC on the Halo Committee where I taught both Basic and Halo Jumpmaster courses. After 4 years of instructor duty I was reassigned to A 1/7 SFG(A) (Aug 89) and then retired in Jan 1992.
I was on jump status for my entire career of 20 years. I attended and passed the 82nd Jumpmaster Course, Class 7-75 in Dec 74. The following year I received my Master Parachutist Badge. Its been "Airborne All The Way" since then.
I have taken off in over 1200 airplanes that I never landed in.....
