    Hey guys,

    My name is TC and I am an active duty paratrooper and medic originally from Southern California.

    I joined the Army in January 2008, when I shipped to Ft. Benning for basic training (D CO 2/47 IN). I did not ship to basic with Airborne in my contract, I just happened to luck in to a slot during basic. After basic, I went to Ft. Sam Houston for 68W (Combat Medic) AIT, graduating in August 2008 (E CO 232 MED). I attended Airborne school back in Ft. Benning shortly thereafter, graduating mid-September 2008.

    I have been assigned to 1st Squadron, 91st Cavalry (Airborne), 173d Airborne Brigade Combat Team in Schweinfurt, Germany since September 2008. I have 14 training jumps (you really have to chase jumps in Germany!).

    I deployed as a platoon medic for 1/A TRP 1/91 CAV (ABN) to Southern Logar Province, Afghanistan from November 2009 to November 2010, where I received the Combat Medical Badge and Purple Heart.

    I am a member of VFW and IAVA.
