    Default IWB, OWB, or......

I am curious about what you all think about how to best conceal carry and the methods by which you do this. I have an IWB and OWB and find myself utilizing the OWB with a shirt over the top of it quite a bit.

Pro's and cons can be debated here as well. I have a very snug (up close to the body) OWB that I use to carry my Kel-Tec PF9 in as pictured below.

It is very easy to get to and I prefer it over any other conceal carry method. Some would say that it is the most difficult way to carry due to printing or possibly showing the weapon on accident but I say with a little practice and the right clothing it is easily overcome.

    Thoughts?

I just go with IWB all the time with my Glock 19, Condition 1. Unless I'm carrying my Keltec P32 in a pocket, Condition 3. Turns out that I carry the Glock when I go outside the house and if I stay in the house I just grab the P32.

IWB is my most common but I also like OWB. The trouble is finding a rig that will hold the weapon close enough that it doesn't feel like it's "dragging." I'm sure there are plenty of quality rigs that accomplish this, but my Crossbreed is extremely comfortable and I'm not in a hurry to go questing for an OWB.

Mike (IED) has a great OWB paddle holster. I went with a GALCO matrix 7X for my 9MM. As you can see from the pic it loops and snaps in securely on my belt. It is a good rig for a compact 9MM but I am not so sure if I would OWB with my .45.

I appendix carry exclusively. It works great for hiding your gat. I like it best when going out amongst the sheep. In crowds you get bumped on the sides and back but rarely the front. Less chance for folks to feel the jammy. Also apex carry is great for drawing whilst seated (say in a restaurant or church etc.). You can slide your hand under your shirt and grasp the weapon without anyone seeing. My two cents.

I carry OWB but mainly because it's how I carry when downrange, so it's how I train on the range. At this point it's so deeply ingrained into my muscle memory I really don't want to change it.

I may try some different solutions when at the Sizzler this year. Maybe a quick draw and fire from deep concealment. IWB of course. I have a very nice one made by Tommy Theis in horsehide. It is comfortable until I sit down or drive. I will bring both and try them.
