I just posted a letter to the State regulation agency that certifies Operating Room Technicians, outling the whole affair. We'll see if they do anything with her licence.
On a better note, still symptom free and bloodwork negative on all fronts!

PC sucks. And it is so wrong. I think PC supporters got picked on when they were kids and want to protect everyone from being offended. Just because of that thinking the rest of us get offended. Kind of a catch 22 huh? So get rid of PC and let the little shits stand on their own two feet.

PC should stand for Parental Control. Not Political Correctness. We need much more of the former and very little of the latter.

Funny you should say that, I asked the Director something similar: " so, if I'm in the hallway throwing knives, as long as I don't kill someone outright, I'll still have a job too, right?"

Addendum to my last post: it seems my liver enzymes were slightly elevated again, and like the last time , I had been drinking a little the night before. Wonder if that means anything?

Two things. Well, technically 3, but the first two are related. 1) Battery - both criminal and civil. Any physical contact with another person without their consent qualifies, and specifically includes touching by means of throwing something at someone. Doesn't matter if the person intended to cause harm, just like it doesn't matter if someone intended to trespass on your property; it only matters if they intended to commit the act of touching (or intended to walk onto the ground that turned out to be your property in the case of trespassing). 2) Intentional infliction of emotional distress - generally defined as outrageous conduct by the person with either the intent to cause severe emotional distress or with reckless disregard of the probability that such conduct would cause severe emotional distress. Different states have different standards, but all states acknowledge this tort.

I would suggest contacting a lawyer in your area, because this kind of thing is a big deal.

Agree with the Lawyer, but I would have my wife hiring the attorney for the emotional stress part.
Do you want her fired now, or in a few years? I would file, asap, and have one of the filing reason being the hospital's minimal disciplinary actions.
I would also see someone in my supervisory chain to complain that it is a weak response.
Bitch needs to be terminated, and any professional certificate suspended pending review by the State Med Board.

Caveat: Don't get yer ass fired by burning the bitch (until the suit is filed), then you can add a wrongful termination.
