Default It was mild, but I made a bust today.

So I go to Walmart today to pick up some snacks for the game I'm currently enjoying. I cant help but notice that there was a young lady in uniform standing two people in front of me. She was in the camo stuff they wear now (that looks about as sloppy as can be) and her tan boots, all of which was still so new that it smelled like storage. I took note of her unit patch, which was one of the local National Guard units, and her rank, which was E-2. The only other patch, aside from her name tape and US Army tape, on her uniform was a flag on her right shoulder.

As she checked out, the older lady who was checking her out ask her "So are you home on leave for the holidays?" The girl instantly went into a "yes ma'am. I'm home from war" speach. She claimed to be home on leave from her "second tour of duty in Iraq", and "it sure is good to be home and safe for a while" and all that. I stood there and let her keep going, with all the enthusiasm that a 18 or so year old kid can have when showing how tough and cool they are and let her tell her whole story.

I went ahead and stepped out of line as she was leaving, and wheeled around to cut her off. At the door, I smied at her and she noticed my hat. I was wearing one of my Fort Bragg hats that I got this past summer. She knew as soon as I said hello that she was busted, and when I told her that I knew one of the guys in charge at the Armory you could just about smell the fecal matter in the air. Before leaving I let her know that one day she would realize what she had just done, and she would feel shame for it. Everything in me wanted to make her go back to the clerk who rung her up and make her fess up, and I regretted letting her go as soon as I did it.

I went back through the line I had been in intent on just letting it go, but to my surprise, the lady told me "dont worry, I knew she was full of it as soon as she started talking, but I could see you were going to starch her ass so I let her keep going".

    Email sent to her NCOIC.....check.

Good job, much more restraint than I have.

I understand, but I'd have come unglued.

I believe the phrase I read somewhere on here was "waffle cunt".

Like I said, you my Brother, have a hell of a lot more restraint than I would have. I'd have kicked her in the twat and dragged her ass to my front yard to show her the flag pole with 13 stones around it. (Each stone has a name, of one of my friends, that died fighting beside ME in the desert she was claiming.)

Well done brother, on the other end of the spectrum, in my full hippy looking glory I got to thank a young SSgt recruiter at Wal-Mart. He looked about as fed up with all the dumb ass college kids. Looks like we kept the universe in balance today.

    First off...good catch SJ.

2nd...unfortunately in my job I have to be politically correct. I see AD and Veterans
everyday, all day long. I will approach if I can and thank them for their service.
Many will thank me back, and move on. The small percentage that work their fuckin
gums, get a fuckin look that I want to Monkey Stomp a mud hole in their chest, and then walk it dry...
all the while I'm giving them my Fake PC smile...they usually read me 5 X 5.

Some I will let run there mouth...and then I'll introduce myself to them and invite
their sorry asses to the Site...the looks in their faces are priceless!

I have also met many, many Veterans from WWII on up...and enjoy their company
    every time they come in.
