Just sent these headlamps out to a squad of guys in the 10th Mountain Division in Afghanistan. Thanks to all who made suggestions in the Kit/Gear forum on the type to buy. Special thanks to kenlavine and gatorjo for their generous donations toward this effort. I will post a picture of the squad wearing them as soon as I get one.

This particular show of support involved a friend of mine who is in that squad. Their 'bazar" as he called it is empty and they don't expect it to be resupplied for a couple months. I had been sending him packages and including enough to share with his squad, and told him to let me know what else he needed. Well his squad came up with a list and the headlamps were at the top of the list. I guess I have adopted an entire squad now :)

On a side note, the squad knows that people from APO.org are helping out, and they appreciate that we continue to carry the fire for those that are still in harm's way. It goes a long way toward morale.

Just heard from my buddy that they got the headlamps yesterday. They've had some casualties, so the squad is a couple short, but all of the headlamps will be put to good use. I would post more info on what is going on, but need to keep OPSEC. I should be getting a picture to post within the next couple days.

Thanks, Ironmike. A lot of guys here have indicated that they would like to help out next time I send something. gatorjoe and kenlavine helped with the headlamps, and they were much appreciated. I'm just waiting to hear what the squad needs next.

Here's the picture of the squad wearing the headlamps. The extras were passed out to others who needed them due to my friend's squad being short from casualties.

Great stuff, this is what really keeps morale up especially considering the "support the troops but not the war" crowd seem to have gotten bored with their own BS.
