I just ordered it from Netflix.
How far along in the movie is the jump- what should I keep an eye out for?
I havnt seen the movie for many years, so detail is thin. The jump was a simulated night jump out of the ramp of a C130 and there are lots of bodies all over the place in the sky. You should look for a 4 man star that if I remember was Matt and 3 other pals driving the director mad, because skydiving formations were not part of the plot.

    Got it- thanks.

Read the book, you'll be even more impressed.

Amazon has Mike McWilliams and Col. Breytenbach's books on Cassinga available, both also on Kindle now which is pretty great. Col. Breytenbach's Eagle Strike book is highly recommended, a great read and provides many insights into the action.

Here's the links to the Amazon pages:

McGill Alexander's MA thesis on Cassinga which Co. Breytenbach refers to in his book can be found for free downloading here: http://uir.unisa.ac.za/bitstream/han...pdf?sequence=4
Alexander and Breytenbach certainly do not agree on several aspects of the battle. In my opinion I always give the benefit of the doubt to the man who was actually on the ground facing the fire.
