27th Engineer Battalion Reunion

I was recently informed that the 27th Engineer Battallion will be holding a reunion for all former members in July of 2011 at Fort Bragg. I'll post more information when I get it, but just wanted to put this out there now so folks would know a little ahead of time to stock up on beer.

Correction to previous post. I am now being told the reunion is not until July 2012, and that they only have it every two years. Last year it was held in St Louis due to the unit being deployed. If anybody wants to find out more info, I have the guys number and if you PM me I'll get it to you.

since your intro.

First, I want to welcome you back.

Second, Any information concerning this get together will be posted
when I receive complete details...

Do me a favor though...go to your intro here http://www.armyparatrooper.org/dropz...y-introduction
and fill in the blanks. We just need the basics per Site SOP (Basic/AIT/BAC etc.). No Secret Squirrel stuff.

When this is complete...I will be more than happy, as the Events Manager for APO/TPA, to gather and pass on any info for you.

I'm going to invite a buddy of mine to join up here. He is, or at least was the last I heard, a VFW post commander somewhere and has all the information about it. He went to the last one they had in St Lewis and said there were a bunch of folks there. Once he joins up I'm sure he will keep the info current.

Crazy nite, first they tourch a dumpster down the street then the dayroom in your company. Them old wooden barracks by the time the fire fighters got there it was burnt to the ground. I'm thinking we should know each other.

I got to HHC in April '72...they found out I could spell (not type) and was the Morning Report Clerk until SSG Darrow saved me and I went to the Construction Plt, I was an electrician until I reup'ed and reeclassed to 12B...

Sorry I've been away, but here is what I know so far about the 27th Engineer Battallion reunion.‎ This was copied from facebook.

"27th EN BN Reunion. The BN reunion is locked in for 15-17 June at Ft Bragg. The Bn has other commitments that caused it to shift from later in the summer. I'll post more information when it comes out. If anyone wants it, I attached a copy of the Alumni Association application, they are organizing the event and will manage registrations."

If you are on facebook, I would recommend looking up not only the 27th Engr page, but from that you can also make a bunch of good contacts with former members.
