    Default Happy Thanksgiving!

There are so many to be things to be thankful for... none more important than being an American. So many of you on this board have sacrificed much to make this country what it is. So thank you! Thank you so much!

    Blessings to All!

When it rains it pours... I now have two tentative job offers to contemplate this Thanksgiving. This week I received a tentative offer for a GS-9 Editor position at Fort Benning. In addition to my GS-5 offer at APG. It's looking like my move may be south now...

And it also means... I'll be able to make a much more sizable donation to the Sizzler beer fund!

Happy Thanksgiving! I'd go to Benning if I were you. That is where they make Paratroopers after all .

    GS-9 vs GS-5? 9 is almost Double 5! lol

    I know.. it's a no brainer...

There are currently 450 reasons (including pay)...that Benning would be preferable. Cost of living, I've been there (got friends there), and PCS is paid for... among others :) Aside from the fact... I'm not going to be low man on the totem pole anymore.

So it looks like 2011 is going to be a fresh start in a new place...

Columbus, Georgia is not a bad place to live although it gets plenty hot in the summer. Depending on your "likes" for activities, I think you may even like the place.

May our Brothers and Sisters eating out of some field ration this year ALL have a home cooked meal NEXT year.

Congratulations on the promotion, you couldn't seriously pass on the GS-9 slot! That's a great opportunity!

And best wishes to you and all my brothers and sisters in uniform, and those whose active duty days are but fond memories. We all have much to be thankful for, we are here while so many have had their ultimate checks cashed. I'm thankful for them especially, but for all of you as well.

Now I'm going to find some looser clothing...
