By the way, every time I read AFTAC, I hear this guy saying it LOL!

My comparison is to the last one (MW2).... again I base my opinion on the MP levels. It's the details...

    1. When you hit a building with HE, the damage isn't realistic. Look at Bad Company 2 (MOH) series as of late. Rounds, HE, etc create a developing environment that is destroyed as the game goes on. In Black Ops last night I saw a building blown, and the four walls just went out in whole parts. If that makes any sense.

    2. MP graphics are not HD quality when compared to MW2, MOH, and several other games. Granted it could just be the fact that the servers aren't stable enough yet, and it might get better, but seriously. They sold over 3,000,000 copies the past two days at $60 a pop.... they should have this shit rolling.

I haven't checked out story mode yet, so that might shoot me in the foot. I'm a multiplayer guy, so I am overall disappointed so far. We'll see....

As for the second part of that post.... I'm glad I am not the only one who has made that connection.

Nah I just thought it was kinda funny, AFLAC!-AFTAC! er uh nevermind.

The story is still a little unclear (I am halfway through). The main hero dude wakes up in an interrogation room and is having Jason Bourne style brain farts. It appears he is military that is recruited for agency work, turned founding member of MACV SOG.

Agreed, breaking out of Vorkuta prison using a minigun called "the Deathmachine" (just like in Predator) just isn't as cool as taking the role of a CAG dude getting headshots with a 1911 or DevGru guy stranded with a only a knife.

    This.

Lag was ridiculous last night and WTF was going on with all the black screen time? I was in a party with 5 others and we kept getting booted. Must've been pushing updates continuously. It got better around 2am when I quit though.

I still gotta say: I like it.

Brother, I don't know what system you're on.... but in the off chance you're on 360 my gamertag is marflin. We'll get some lageriffic killing on sometime. Myself and a few others are on ALMOST every night for an hour or so around 1930 (EST of course).

I'm sad to admit that I got in a pissing match with one of these cave trolls that don't see sunlight for weeks on end due to gaming. It might have cost me quite a few braincells, but at the price of saving the honor of MOH I stuck my neck out there and put an xbox ranger in his rightful place.

I'm Weazle23 on XBox360, just picked up the game today. Great excuse to enjoy an activity with my step-son.
I hate admitting I'm nowhere as good at video games as I used to be, especially since I grew up with them. I get so frustrated at the punks online that are hacking, or seem like they are hacking.

    We are old, bro.

Just curious, do you guys do PC or console? Though there has been 2-5 XBox 360s in my house at any given time since their original release, I don't think I have spent more than 15 minutes on one, when Rock Band was released. (I'm a singer and loved the concept)

My thing is high-performance PCs. I write reviews of high-end PC hardware for a couple of hardware websites.

What sucks is that I really don't have time to game anymore. Just eats up too much time. I've been doing Company of Heroes online a little recently, I liked the game when it was released. (a WWII based RTS) I was into the Battlefield series but that was a long time ago.

That game is awesome... I don't play online cause my laptop won't handle it. I love the campaign and the skirmishs when I can get my computer to run it.

As for the original reason for this thread, I am still uber disappointed with the servers online. We can't get a six man team into a game, and even further than that I got punted after every damn game Friday night. The lag has been horrible and the fact that I spend more time staring at the pre-game lobby rather than running and gunning is irritating as hell. I did try the single player mode, the story line is rather odd as MAV11B3V said. I'm going to give them about a week more to correct the fricking online server issues, and if they can't get it done I am trading the damn game in and telling them to stick it in their arse.
