    Sweet! COD: Black Ops

Picking it up after work! Based on Vietnam(?)-Cold War era SOG/CIA. Ever wanted to assassinate Castro??? From what I'm hearing this game has a lot of good stuff like that. Should be good fun...better than watching tv anyway. And a 4 day weekend too! Gotta pt though....

Picked it up this morning. Not at 0001 but at 0930. Already played it and will play it online later. The zombies are pretty cool also.

Here's my short of the multiplayer game.

    1. I hate Core... it's hardcore that I enjoy that way I am not shooting someone in the face 19 times to get a kill.
    2. The graphics... they are sort of sub par.
    3. The buying of equipment is a semi good idea, it's sort of annoying.
    4. Their Fisher Price internet servers suck ass... it was horrible trying to get into a game to play... not to mention lagging once in the game.

Overall the game just is going to take some time to get used to, and there are some big kinks to work out.

Maverik as far back as I can remember there has been a semi-covert or "black ops" part in each and every COD...EVER. I have a feeling that I won't be missing out on much that I haven't already seen with MW2. Not that I didn't like the game but none of them have really changed much and by the trailers it doesn't look much different. I love the realism of MOH so I think I'll stick with it for a while.

I don't have a whole lot of time for games anymore, so I have only bought 3 this year (Red Dead, MOH T1, BlackOps). I know MOH was a bit unpolished at times and doesn't have the options COD has, but the realism it has in some of the mountain levels is incredible. They worked with the right people to get it right. I started the campaign on Black Ops last night. Graphics are really good (subpar to what, IED??) but the story is just silly. }SPOILER ALERT{ Within an hour or two you have assassinated Castro (TRICK! body double), fight through an old prison somewhere else and escape on motorcycles, meet Mcnamara at the pentagon, have a heart to heart with JFK, shoot down a runaway ICBM with a Stinger, get dumped in Vietnam for Khe Sahn, discover a massive biochemical weapon plot while fighting like 300 guys in Hong Kong, double-fisting pistols as a CIA spook, jump to another scenario in Russia... Come on! I mean this game makes following a season of 24 look like reading The Cat In the Hat! It's fun, it looks great, I know it's all about the MP now, but I'm with AFTAC on this one... I'd rather be stalking Taliban through the Shahikot valley anyday (MOH).

By the way, every time I read AFTAC, I hear this guy saying it LOL!

I love games, just don't have time to play as much as I want to, plus, got to split the time with local range.
Always believed in having a choice of gear, including some heavy-duty hardware.

Oh, speaking of kindergarden: I loved sandboxes, but got kicked out for hitting the kid in the head with a brick.
Speaking of early love of "heavy-duty" stuff...

Oh ouch, that picture kinda hurts a bit...hurts the heart. Anyway ha ha ha, Mac I agree, MW2 was believeable, it made sense and the storyline wasn't so over the top crazy that you couldn't believe it. I enjoy MP, but I also love a game that when I get burned out on little 10 years olds talking shit and hacking the game so they can win, I can go back and play SP.

Now my question is, did they base it off SOG or CIA or did they mix the two together. With MOH, I'd rather have less options on weapons and have an enjoyable, reaslistic scenario. I don't need heartbeat sensors, semtex grenades and throwing knives, give me a supressed M-4,M-14 & 1911 and set me loose in the mountains hunting Haj.
