    Another book you might try if Obamacare goes through and for a very good primitive medicine/field/no-access-to-a-hospital manual is called "Ditch Medicine". I don't remember any of the particulars(I'm not at home) but I got it from Paladin Press.
    I think most would like it. I carry mine in my Jump bag right next to my S.F. Medic's Guide.
