C-119, C-123, C-130, C-7, C-47, UH-1. The C-7 and C-119 were the best jump platforms; C -47 was the most fun because of it's history with paratroopers.
Proud to be a Vietnam Veteran.

Gotcha, when I was at Ft. Rich 85 to 88 I thought I heard the Guard unit had the last 2 in military service up there and those were subsequently retired in the 90s.
Cool you got to jump one although I'm not sure how I would have felt about being in that troop box hooked underneath for any length of time but I was and am willing to jump just about any aircraft rather than land in it.![]()

It was the first time I had ever seen one. I thought the "box" was part of the plane at first. Then my squad leader set me straight. The crew chief gave us shit about pushing the release button and dropping our asses in flight. I was still a cherry and got all knotted up about it.
