This should be the commercial for posers who post shit like this on FB, Myspace, or any of those other sites.

With the advent of going 18X on enlistment you're probably going to see a lot of this. Back in the day you had to be at least an E-4 (and only for shortage specialties). Already a bit matured and pretty much good at what MOS you originally enlisted for to even think about going Special Forces.

I don't know, most of the SF guys I work with say the bad eggs of the 18x program have washed away. There were a few that slipped through, but most of those guys have been forced to flounder at the TSOCs or back a SWC. One thing you have to say about most SF guys is they police their own very well. Still, we suffer from the mass production problems across the board at USASOC. It'll be interesting to see how things progress for all 4 army units (SF/CA/MISO/160th).

    I have two questions:

    1. Does the Army call it Boot Camp now? Back in the '70s it was Basic Training, or Basic - I thought only the Navy called it Boot Camp...

    2. I did not have a unit patch on my uniform until I got the the 82nd - in Basic, AIT, and BAC my sleeves were bare - has that changed?
