I go into Wally World AKA Wallmart to get my fishing license today as I'll be on the water for opening day in the morning. Any there is this big sign: All person over 15 years of age must give their drivers license & SSN in order to get a Fishing License.

Well at last I have found a State more fucked up than Illinois, at least in one aspect anyway. I order mine off line. Illinois Senior Citizen fishing license costs $7.95/yr. I fill it out, put it on a credit card, print it, and presto - I have a fishing license. The only down side all the fish in the Illinois river are dead and floating on top, all I really need is a dipnet which does not need a license.
Texas is almost as bad. I don't remember the cost, but if you buy a fishing license on August 1 it costs x amount of dollars. If you buy it march 1 it costs the same and still expires july 31. Hell, if you buy it july 15 it expires july 31 and still costs the same.

Damn could have used that TA-312 today we fished all day long and didn't get so much as bump. Oh well it still beat the hell out remodeling the kitchen. Next week will be better.

Yeah until last year I got a free fishing license and hunting license because I'm rate 100 percent service connected. From free to 68 bucks is pretty big jump! But we have democrats running the state so what should I expect?

Fill out a form and send a copy of my DD214 to Kansas Fish and Game and get mine in the mail....You can pick to get a hunting or a fishing liscence free and then pay for the other.
