    welcome....You didn't give dates of service. I bet you are one of the youngans. I remember Hovey. Do they still have the quanset huts that are 6 inches off the ground and have 55 gallom barrel heaters? AIRBORNE! GERONIMO!!

    That might Help...2/325 1980 slick sleeve, Korea 1984...Hovey Sucked..."Toekorea" (spelling). 4/187 1985, believe 1989 Korea Camp Howez, 1st and 2nd 502nd One stayed back at Casey. we moved to Howez. I thought Hovey Sucked. Howez was condensed Suck Ass in a can. You are walking up hill or down hill. May have been 1990. Back to Bragg 2/505. End of 1998 Went to O/C school (Observer Controller) Back to Benning for Tactics School. Then to Ft. Irwin for School / O.C. Followed some Infantry Units (Mech) Graduated. Then to Indiana to Train the 76th Light for Combat OPs...Extended service to finish training that Unit..for the good of the Army. Became a Reserve Deputy 1999. Aug 2000 Retired and went into the Jail (working in the Jail that is). In 2001 Hired by Prosecutor as an Investigator(Prosecutor lost the election I got booted back to the Jail 2002). 2002 Hired as a Field Officer maintained my Star with corrections. Serve a shit load of warrants. I became a State cerified Coroner (Death Investigator) in 2000. Was the County Coroner for awhile. 2008 stepped down from the Coroners Office...I took that " Be all you can Be" stuff to the next level.....Kid is now moving out, just bought her a house and is getting ready to leave...Now me and the wife can run around in our fricking birthday shorts....well I will anyway....Memeber of the Tilman Beikes chapter of the 82nd here in Indianapolis...Sgt at arms for this chapter.     Welcome. You must have been in 2ID right before they all reflagged (1/17 to 5/20, 1/23 to 1/5 etc). I can still smell the kimchi and the smell of the rice paddies in the spring during the melt.

    Toko-Ri was better than Tongduchon, IMHO. But it was a longer bus ride :)

    I will never forget watching adjema take a deuce in the rice paddies. MMMM good stuff.
    Nothing like the smell of Korea in the Summer. Fortunately I was at Bonifas so most of it was South of me.
