Default If you've enlisted MOS 35 series minus Airborne/RASP look here..

As some here know, I am currently at DLI. My company put out this morning that there is a big push for Airborne 35P. Also, all of the soldiers who have asked for Airborne have picked it up and went on to follow on Airborne assignments. If you're looking to go to Group to be a SOT-A that can be worked out as well. I know one soldier who is getting his Ranger packet together to attend RASP.

As you can see, there are options for you. However, it's not a guarantee and you should always get it in your contract.

If my son can't find a job next year with a major in Asian Studies and a minor in Mandarin, I'm gonna start stuffing recruiting materials in his socks.

    UPDATE:

This comes from TODAY'S formation in Bco. There is still a big push for Airborne 35p's.

The units that are now in need are the 82nd and 25th out of Alaska, apparently they are really hurting.

Again, this simply comes down from a fax, it is put out to the formation and I'm putting it out here. I will continue to update this thread whenever I learn something new.

I would like to point out that if you do not end up with French, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Portuguese, or Hebrew YOU WILL NOT BE assigned to Bco. As of this post, EVERY soldier that has wanted Airborne has had it put in their contract and went onto a follow on Airborne assignment.

I can't say for certain how the other unit's are handling Special Operations and Airborne recruiting. I know Fco was taking people for Group and Regiment a few months back. I don't know how many they or any of the other units were accepting though.

Just a small update but the recruiters from Group are coming next week.
"He was a SOT-A Soldier doing exactly what SOT-A's do," his commander said, "fighting alongside his special forces teammates in the most difficult, dangerous places while carrying heavy loads of technical gear that saves lives of our forces and takes the lives of our enemies."

Just a quick fix: From the briefing the 75th calls it's teams OST..not CST's as I stated previously. There's still a huge recruiting push, especially in Group...sign up now!
