Default Two Air Force men lost in Afghanistan

Jan 3. 2010 The Air Force took a massive blow on it's Battlefield Airmen. Sra. Bradley Smith,a JTAC, my room mate and brother, was killed and his ROMAD Sra. Mike Malarsie was severely wounded. Bradley was the exact man you wanted next to you in a firefight. A leader 2nd to none and what an operator should be. He was always at the front in the shit. Malarsie was also one hell of a trooper fighting at Brads side. Caught in a close range ambush with SAF and IED's, they and their platoon fought and suppressed the enemy. While carrying out a wounded soldier Bradley stepped on a surface placed IED as it was detonated. Malarsie was hit in the opening seconds of the firefight by an IED which took his left eye and his vision away from him. Both men were Airborne qualified, Bradley was also Air Assault and Pathfinder qualified. Bradley leaves behind a wife Tiffany and 3 month old Daughter Chloe.

Aftac, I'm sorry for the loss of your friend. If they had to go, at least they got to leave this world doing the work of the warriors they were.

    May they Rest Well...
