    Default Most aggressive Airborne

Who has the biggest reputation for being aggressive? Somebody told me it was the 82nd, but I'd like to hear it from you all. What's the consensus?

I think it is the Cooks in DISCOM! They were always stingy with the food at the DFAC!

Some of those strippers on Victory Drive were pretty abusive with me. But that's probably because I paid extra for it.

It used to be the 325th, but since they're gone it's one of the second stringers.

I think leg units are the most aggressive...

    Get the hell down! :)

Now that I've said that, let me answer this silly question. There is no answer. The aggressiveness of a particular unit is primarily a reflection of the aggressiveness of the leadership. While certainly Airborne and Ranger units in general have cultivated an aggressive spirit, due to their particular type of mission, to say that "this unit" or "that division" is the "most aggressive" is just plain silliness.

Here's a good example: The Quick Reaction Force that help pull out the Rangers in Somalia was from the 10th Mountain Division...a leg unit. However, from what I've heard and read, their company commander trained his company, and trained them hard. And it turned out to be a good thing, too. While the Rangers are generally considered exceptionally aggressive (and with good cause), this "leg" unit certainly was prepared to help them out when needed. Most people would say that the Ranger company was more "aggressive" than the 10th Mountain company, but in this case, the 10th Mountain commander raised the bar for his unit. (Disclaimer: I wasn't there, so if the info I have is incorrect, feel free to break out the red paddle if needed...)
