    Speaking of firearms just got a pelican case for some of the family members that will be coming to the sizzler with me. It has a personalized touch that I think is appropriate.

    Come on, now, brother; public education didn't hose your reading comprehension skills THAT badly. I've got the back half booked already (RDU to SEA), but I still need a ticket for the outbound (SEA to IAD).
    I'll land at Dulles Airport in VA, spend a few days with my family, then catch the Ferret Express down to NC and fly out from there after the weekend.

    In case you aren't familiar with U.S. regionalisms, I was born and raised above the Mason-Dixon line, ( http://geography.about.com/od/politi...masondixon.htm ) thus making me a "Yankee". Though I now live below that line, I retain my northern accent and "ear". Our Sizzler hosts are in North Carolina, which is well below the Mason-Dixon line, making them "Southern Gentlemen" (the term is loosely interpreted ), who speak with a southern accent. Ken was trying to give me verbal directions over the cell phone, while I was driving on unfamiliar roads after dark. The clash of regional accents, combined with the late hour and alcohol, had me scratching my head at the directions..... " Tarn lef' at the goff cawrs"????
    OK, got it.
    Above the line, you are a yankee, and below, a yanker.
    Makes sense. Thanks Lady Doc.

    I thought living below the line made you a "wanker" not a "yanker."

    While on the subject of Pelicans and Mason- Dixon
    Here is a poem by Dixon Merith

    A wonderful bird is a pelican,
    His bill will hold more than his belican.
    He can take in his beak
    Food enough for a week;
    But I'm damned if I see how the helican.

    Guy, you may want to edit your post. It can be construed as very racist, as I have taken it.

    No REAL offense taken. Your humor did require a response though. Cheers.
