I just got a letter the other day from the VA about the 'post 911 GI Bill'. I was a ROTC grad and VA is picking up another 36months of schooling at 60%. No tests or anything, just fill in the online deal and then they send you a letter saying how much you qualify for. If you have 3.5 years active after 911 you should qualify for 100% (I'm scratching my head over that one as I have 4 years and got 60%, I think they are 'negotiating'). I'm angling for a Finance Masters, and those guys say if you can get into the school the letter of funding is good as gold.

If that is your pint of beer the link I used follows.

    http://www.gibill.va.gov/

Follow the instructions and fill in the online thing, and print your application off hard copy when you are done and they had a letter reply to me in less then 14 days.

That is NORMAL, and exactly what I went through.. They are looking to see wha you are physically able to do, and to see if you really need a new education because you have a disability that will PROHIBIT YOU from using your current skill set. For example (no offense intended!) you have one arm, the other was loan off. Your training in the military was as a aircraft controller on the flight deck which required both arms, one arm is now gone, so you CANNOT USE that skill set because your disability prevents it... That means you will need retraining to be employable. I filled out the same forms (howbiet a long time ago!) and watched the same corny va videos.

The result, (it took about 6 minths!) a FREE EDUCATION at Wayland Baptist and a nice SUBSISTANCE ALLOWANCE while attending school. They paid for ALL TUITION, books, and all fees.

I am no longer in the program. They booted me out because they consider me to be totally disabled and unemployable.

Im rated at 90% and they won't pay me at the 100% rate until I get one of my 'issues' raised to 40%. My highest individual issue is at 30%.

LOOON, Have you read though the Book C to see if any of your ratings can/should be rated higher?
