Default Looking for Instructor gig in CO, AZ, NV

I am currently a semi-retired copper and a full time Firearms Instructor for State Dept. in the DC area. I hate it here and I want to go west. CO, AZ, NM, NV are my target states. The ideal spot would be somewhere warm, dry, and close to a large body of water. The wife was looking into Florida but I grew up in Miami and I discovered the western states were more to my liking.
Anyway, if anybody knows of a govt. or contractor gig out that way, please let me know.
    Many thanks...

I dont know if you want to move to NV the economy SUCKS, I just moved from Las Vegas. If you are interested there is a planned community called Front Sight that teaches many shooting styles and the owner wants to turn it into a gated "gun" community like they have around golf courses.

Also they are building a public shooting facility in North Las Vegas. They might need trainers and instructors.

Please keep in mind he is speaking about Southern Nevada and he is right it sucks as it has always sucked. Northern Nevada is a completley different story. 1. we get all 4 season. 2. We are not blue on the map every four years. 3. We have Lake Tahoe. 4. We have a National Forest as well as awesome desert. So what ever type of outsdoorsman you are we have it up here. Stay the fuck away from So Nevada. it sucks balls. always has, always will.

I'll talk to my po-po friends up here and see if they know of anything.

Aw see? Now we're screwed. We are not allowed to talk about that up here.

Many thanks to Camera and Shark. I have a good friend (former 7th Light trooper) who grew up in Northern NV and he tells me the same. He hates the Vegas/Southern NV area. The climate out west is just nicer and easier on me. We're running an instructor course now and Saturday was a 14 hour rifle, subgun, and shotgun extravaganza in the pouring rain, wind, and 38 degrees. Yeah, I know.....WAAAHHHH, right?

The entire reason I re-enlisted for Panama back in the day, was to get out of the fucking cold! Plus I only get about 5-7 months of decent riding weather up here in the Northern VA/DC area. I'd like to ride a motorcycle year round.

What about Yuma? Lake Havasu is relatively close by, but then again, so is Mexico.

I'll ask around when I get home to CO.
