IMHO, Mike Lau's book "The Military and Police Sniper: Advanced Precision Shooting for Combat and Law Enforcement" is a better book. Plus it has my name in the acknowledgments.

Both books though need to be updated but the fundamentals are there.

You should be able to get the Marine shooting handbook. It conveys the basics for rifle shooting very well and addresses issues such as windage.

I have added it to the list above on the last group of books. I am going to expand that as more and more books come out of the War on Terror (Iraq and Afghanistan).

Keep it coming guys. 56 books and counting.

"Notes of a Sniper: For Us There is No Land Beyond the Volga" by Vasily Zaytsev should be interesting to those interested in WWII Russian snipers.

    Interesting Russian sniper link: http://www.wio.ru/galgrnd/sniper/sniper.htm

I believe I own the most accurate rifle there is. I have a 338 Lapua magnum. Distance of shot so far 1275 yards. I have not shot any further with it as yet. But I guess shooting a target sitting still is not as hard as in the field during combat.
