Fair question. Each shirt adds $4 to the Sizzler fund. It may not sound like much but when you consider that we had a total of 40 individual requests (and a couple of people have purchased more than one shirt) it starts to add up pretty quick.
I think the success of this year's shirts comes from the fact that I offered custom options (flash, crest, and quote). It added a considerable amount of time during the design process (nearly all of the insignia had to be redrawn) but everyone seems to be very satisfied with the results.
Some people haven't ordered shirts yet (there's no rush if you're not attending the Sizzler) so we don't have a final tally but I think we've passed $120 in profit. CafePress hangs on to the money until the 30-day return policy has expired, then they cut a check.
