The Army will absolutely not take me under any circumstances until the recruitment standards are accepting ELS waivers, tattoo, and medical. I have nearly 4 waiver to get put through. My recruiter recommended I look into other branches, so I did. The Marines won't accept me, nor will the Air Force. However, the Navy said they MIGHT be able to help me back in early June. So I retrieved every single miltary document known to man, I have 2 book sized folders full of it. I handed it to them and they said let's get started. I pushed and called every single day, asking questions, checking progress, making sure MEPS was being pushed. They told me it may not happen at one point then I got around that. So after all was said and done, I made a trip to MEPS last Thursday and did a full physical, I passed everything. Only problem is: I was disqualified. This was to be expected though, my recruiter said there was a 100% chance I'd be disqualified because I was kicked out of the Army for Scoliosis, so I'd need a medical waiver, although I thought the waiver was already pushed through. So here I am at the last step waiting on my last of 4 waivers, this one being for my back. I plan on enlisting Corpsman with S.E.A.L. option. There's spec. warfare men that come down twice a month to look at my recruiting stations DEPS for S.E.A.L. candidates. I've passed they're entrance PT tests for Special Warfare and PT'ed with them 4 times now. The Chief has said I he can secure me a S.E.A.L. slot, under the circumstances I secure myself a Navy contract, which I'm steadfast in doing as I type even. There's been a lot of forks in the road, and unfortunately I'm not being granted the opportunity to become a US Army Ranger / Paratrooper, yet. However I can still push myself into special operations, via US Navy S.E.A.L.'s. It's not my original plan, but it's part of the ultimate objective of become a certified military special operations soldier. I have not quit, I have not slowed down, I have not let up, I have merely changed my course of action. I will make it happen one way or another. This is my 3rd reenlistment process in 2 years. I've jumped through tons of hoops, gone through basic and infantry school, got kicked out, been told to wait wait and wait, lied to. However I feel it'll be worth it when I get pinned with whatever badge I'm given the opportunity to try out for. I'll know what I'll have gone through to make it to that day. I will make it happen. Never quit.
