Officially a squid, training checklist complete. Waiting on official orders to school now. Got in touch with the spec ops community here about getting a rate change and the waiver process submitted for pre buds. Lots of options noticed now that I'm here. We'll see what opportunities I have to exhaust.

SITREP: I'm about 3 weeks into my 4 month tech school here in Florida. I've spoken to numerous people both here and back in GL regarding a BUD/s contract and it's hard to get anything done in a "student" status. So I won't know much about all that until I get attached to my next command. However, I was wondering if anyone had any information on Blue to Green as of yet. There's vague information about it around here but I'd like to hear it from both sides. I know that as an IT I may be able to laterally transfer over to the Army just before my contract ends, possibly even sooner? I'm just looking at options right now and focusing on gracing through this school.

That's the plan. Tough competing against a few of the guys who were literally civilian IT's before joining the military. They can ace all the tests without even really paying attention. But the evolution of the class is different throughout the pipeline so we'll see how it changes up.
