Does anyone know where Camp Alfa is? I would say it was lost in the woods but I didn't see any woods the whole time I was in Korea. Just yamas(mountains) and rice paddies. Camp Alfa is about as far in no where as you can get. AIRBORNE! GERONIMO!!
I was at Camp Casey, 1/9 Manchu, 85-86.
Lot's of memories here.

I was in Yongsan. Jan 2005 through Aug 2007.
anyone who was stationed at casey or hovey remember the schoolhouse run? As I remember it was mostly uphill, turn around at the schoolhouse, and book it back downhill. I need to find that on sat image.
1st tour was with 2ID at CP Stanton (5/5 ADA) 90-91, 2nd tour was on Yongson as the CSM (as an E-8) for a friggin' Dental Bn 98-99. Does anyone remember those Bill the Cat Soju t-shirts? Lost mine somewhere.....along with a few brain cells!

Trust and believe me when I tell you it's a new world here. Most of y'all wouldn't recognize any of it. I just got back from walking across the city and it still amazes me to think that this place was almost entirely destroyed sixty years ago. I can't imagine the 'Stan or Iraq having this type of turn around in a hundred years let alone sixty. Time will tell for sure.
