    Sweet! Sizzler '09

Alright boys and girls...Here we fuckin go!

There are a couple of locations which can be considered for this SIZZLER!

    1st consideration:

    San Antonio, Texas...

The VFW will let us use their meeting room as needed. They also have a full bar and three seperate rooms for lounging. I can get the back room for us if needed.

They do not serve food, however they will get us a caterer or will cook some great TEX-MEX food for us at a good cost.

The DZ is much smaller and will be a good place to spend a couple hours drinking and checking out their vast merodilia (sp).

Now the glich is AUG is the prime time....May till Sep Hotel prices are UP! Even if we blocked out 20 rooms for 3-5 days unless your in the pits it will be an avg of $85.00 & up!

Things to do , Visit the Medics Museum on FT SAM, Plenty of Titty bars (expensive) Skydiving would have to be done in Austin and they do not do Static. I am waiting on a price if we do a pkg deal maube they will do Static, right now it's Tandem or AFF or Skydiving if you are a current jumper with Log book and USPA membership.....
An e-mail sent to me from one of our Point Men.

    2nd choice...

    Houston, Texas

The same site as the Houston Jump reunion last March. Our hosts would be Skydive Houston.

For all you wannabes in Texas, this is the place to go. Todd and his crew go out of their way to get you a jump. Terrific is a small word for his bunch. Glad to have ya swabbie!!

    Date to choose from...

    April... Fri - Sun (17th-19th), or Aug...Fri - Sun (21st-23rd)

    Let the voting begin!

Just a thought, but the lodging wouldn't be a huge issue at Skydive Houston.

Then again, SA is close to the Lexington, etc.

I'll be out of state by then, but am more than willing to help coordinate if you need assistance.

Another thought, my birthday is Monday the 20th. I'm not saying it should be a Spring Fling/ Bee Birthday Bash, but I'm not against that notion either.

The weather is much better in April but I am up for either.

I prefer SA due to it being close to me but Houston is not out of the question.

August works for me. In April I'm trying for a two month outage gig in Mexico. You never know though, they both might be fine times the way my company works.

All I can say is just give me the date and I'll start clearing my calendar. Hopefully I can bring Red but I'm sure Patches won't be coming.

Hopefully I'll be able to attend the August gathering; where I'll be able to give shadow my Kobbe Bro some shit, cause he both needs and deserves it.
