Yes exactly, and I had to pick the sentance that wasn't a part of the language that did not exist? So why would they give me that? Trying to fill slots in language school. I scored high on the ASVAB. Maybe that was it? Anyway I must have failed.

You dont fail the test. It just gauges how well you can 'pick up' a language.

I could have same them some time and money, if they would have asked I would have told them I failed French 8.

Failing a languagr in High School has nothing to do with your ability to learn foreign languages. The spoken languages are taught by speaking necessity. At Defense Language Insritute 12 0f us were put in a room with a n instructor and no english was spoken after the introductions. NECESSITY you learn fast. Alfabet and the written language come later. What is the DLAB?, me and another guy got put in a little room when we first got to Benning in the place you do in proccessing and had to write this really weird test, seemed like a language test but the questions were about languages that don't exist?? Anyway they never said what it was and nothing came of it, we were both 11X and just went on to Harmony Church. I always thought I must have failed.

Another dude and myself took the DLAB in Basic. Neither one of us ever heard anything more about it either.

I always thought I failed it too, but it sounds like that's not technically correct.

I took mine at MEPS when I shipped and they gave it to me before I left. Still have the original scoresheet or whatever it is.
