I want to thank everyone for the kind welcome. I came into the Army in August 1969 thru the SSS in Chicago. Basic at Ft. Lost in the Woods,Misery,
AIT at Ft. Gordon, GA and Jump school at Ft. Bening. After a 15 day leave, reported to Ft. Lewis for outprocessing. Arrived in RVN March 13 1970. At the replacement center in Cha Rang Valley SSG Pat Tadina and SSG Gentry were recruiting for N Co. Rangers and I was selected. When I got to the Company I was assigned to Charlie Team and was with the same team until December 1970, when I went into the hospital. I was then assigned to the Orderly room as clerk until I derosed in March 1971. and yes, I probally drank a few beers and maybe shared a bomber or two with some of you older Troopers.

Cal I still go by N75 ranger on the other side of the street. to everyone else thanks for the welcomes and I understand your skepticism. The new guy always has to prove himself before he is accepted into the Teams. but I have to admit it has been a long time since I was a FNG Cherry!!!!!!
