My company dabbled in 'the sickness' over in Italy, and I dropped off here at the Academy. I'm looking to get back into CF once I arrive back to Fayetteville. What are your thoughts on the Fayetteville CF gyms?
I'm just trying to figure out where I can get some of the equipment to put out in my garage...

I'm still trying to figure out what equipment you really need and an example exercise plan for a week or two.
I looked at the website that was posted but I must be denser than a box of hammers.
It was interesting, but I never got to the point where I could write out a week or two's schedule of exercises.
Of course maybe I just need to look a little deeper.
Light engineers must be proficient in marksmanship, demolitions, light infantry skills, and field-expedient engineering. Because of the austere conditions in which they operate, light engineers must have knowledge of all weapons in their unit, an intimate understanding of the weapons systems of the forces they support, and a working knowledge of the enemies' weapons. The close combat skills of light engineers must be unequaled. They must hold total confidence in their abilities to apply these skills and tools.

I'm seriously tempted to run to Home Depot and pick up a bunch of threaded pipes, etc. and make my own set of everything... Really all you need is a barbell, a few weights, kettleball, pull up bar, set of rings, and a dip station... good to go...

ACE......
Go to the web site every day.....that is where the workout is.
No need to plan it out.....they do it for you.
In the middle is the workout, upper left is the examples/demos....

Starting this today, bored of regular routine gym sessions. Have a bench, barbells, dumbells, etc at home. I'll have to improvise or buy the rest as it comes.

I don't have the equipment most of the time for the work out of the day.
Any gym suggestions in Fayetteville? I'd imagine they have a CF group some place, on of the gyms on post?

I started the WOD when I was deployed. I saw some guys on my FOB working out and they were freaks! They had the rings and had built a box for box jumps. I just substituted an exercise if I didn't have the equipment handy. For me, the hardest part is the technical lifts. I did cleans and deadlift in HS, but that is it. You can seriously jack yourself up if you aren’t careful with those. Now that I am back I am going to stop by one of the local affiliates and see about joining. They give military/LEO discounts.

I finally started Crossfit with a trainer at the gym on base. I can honestly say I have not been smoked like that in years. It was simply outstanding!
