My pleasure; it's a good cause. I think this operation (along with Desert One), did a great deal to lay the groundwork for the type of missions our guys routinely conduct today.

If any of you are on Facebook, I've built photo albums for Urgent Fury. There's one for Rangers, Marines and the 82nd. If you want to be added to my friend list for access, send me a PM with your name and I'll do so.

I never looked at this thread before, Really cool seeing the pictures and sharing your stories. From what I understand allot of it is still classified and there is not allot of books on Operation Urgent Fury.

I really liked seeing the pictures especially with the all the United States flags in them. You do not see that anymore in combat pictures or real life in the current Wars.

To all of you my hat is off.

    For the fallen; my condolences.

Here's a few great reads on the Operation: I saved it to pdf and printed out a couple of copies for my Grenada vet buddy Bytor over at P.Net. He was 2/325th as well.

I was with B 2/505 when we got called for Grenada. We found out, In formation, from 505 Commander that we were replacing C Co. 2/325, which was a brand new cohort unit, From there we boarded the cattle cars. Next thing you know Grenada bound. Awesome feeling. Would do it all over again, if I was still a lean mean fighting machine, and 19. LOL

Wow!!! Just finished reading this whole thread. I think the picture with the green truck had guys from my Unit. One of them looked like my Squad leader Sgt Coulter. We used this vehicle to transport us everywhere. Glad I found this forum.
