    Default Springfield XD .45

Went to the range today with the new XD. I had not shot an XD before buying this one and wasn't really sure about the trigger pull since I am and old fashioned got to have a manual thumb safety guy.

I put about 300 rounds through it and I did not have any issues with it feeding ammo, every round every time it is one of the best shooting pistols that I own. I would recommend this side-arm to any of my friends. It shoots nice and smooth, follow up shots are smooth and it has no long pull like some DAO's I have shot in the past. If have to shoot at someone with 14 rounds of .45 I better throw the pistol at them and run like hell since I am in WAY over my head.

    Anyone else?

I've been carrying an XD45 for over a year now. It is an amazing weapon. Try shooting different style 45s right one right after the other. You can really tell the difference.

It is a balanced weapon and comes right back onto target. the mag release has never stuck. I have put several thousand rounds through mine and I have yet to have a jam. *knock*

    I'll never sell mine.

Sponge, I had to promise not to shoot anyone in traffic, so I am working on my impulse control issues.

Got mine last summer. LOVE IT. XD45 is a great shooter, just wish I was up to the capabilities of the pistol.

A few weeks ago I went to a PPC compition that was giving away XD40 for 1st prize and Door Prizes. I skiped the Award/panquet to work OT 2x on Sunday night.
During the door Pirze, my name was called for a T-shirt. Since I was not there they called the next person (my Boss). He was the proud owner of a small T-shirt. The next guy called won a Springfield XD 40. My Boss would of won the XD if I was there.

They use the Lewis system for the 5 different classes. Came in 6th for Sharpshooter. 530 12X my score sucked. Scored 564-14X last night in Practice.

But I defer to Big Will. He is a soldier's soldier. He was a team leader in my old platoon and he knew his stuff.

    Howe ya doin' MSG Will?
