    Default All American Week

Are any of yous guys ( ) gonna go to this? I've never gone to it but may make the trip this year on the Harley from up-state NY.

AAW is a go! As in the past it will be held the week prior to Memorial Day (19-25 in May). The entire Division with the exception of the 1st BCT (504 PIR), will be back home at Fort Bragg. Veterans will be able to partake with the GWOT Veterans from both Afghanistan and Iraq. Complete information and the registration form is published in the 2007-08 Winter issue of the Paraglide: http://paraglideonline.net/

Ah, pushball. I grin at the thought of stomping on some random trooper and cringe at the memory of getting stomped. 100% painful fun!

Ahhh Pushball and the bearpits. The only place where an Officer could try to drown an enlisted SOB. And a skinny fucking SPC could stomp on his C.O's nose breaking same. Everyone would be happy at the end of the day thinking they got the best of the other bastard.

Last I heard it there was an attempt to ban it.

My 1SG put out that if you did Push Ball then you didnt have to stand in the Pass and Review. Talk about max participation.

Fuckin' A! That is what I call a real 1SG!

During one game I was in:

This big black guy picked me up in the air, over his head and threw me into our sideline. As he was about to chunk me I screamed "First Sergeant, catch me!!!!" As I was flying through the air I heard his reply, "Fuck you son, do a PLF!"

    Unhappy Re: All American Week

I'm about to start my third year in Division and have yet to be involved in any of the agony that has become All American Week. It used to be a blast but now it's just a week of crap wrapped up with that pass in review that has to be one of the most grueling parades I've ever seen.

I am right here at Bragg and I cannot go to it because I am deeply involved in the Special Forces annual Memorial Ceremony where all the family members of the deceased SF Soldiers over the past year, are invited to see their fallen soldier have his name placed on the USASOC Memorial Wall, it is a very sad time. We do this every memorial day. We also have another ceremony on Saturday after that to remember all SF Soldiers that have passed away over the last year. This is conducted by the SF Association. Anyway it seems like the 82d has been gone for the last few years and the review has been toned down allot over the years.

Push ball is the shit. I was a sweeper, I would massacre troopers 3 at a time rushing around the ball and clearing those on the opposite side!

It is good times,I preferred when we would play pogues and leave them bleeding and crying on the field saying "no fair, its only a game".
Only a game? Die like a bitch in silence.
    Airborne!

I have not experienced AA week unfortunately.

I never received the 2007- 08 Winter issue of the Paraglide. I was informed that a
registration form was published in this issue for All American Week at Ft. Bragg in May 2008. I've never gone to this event and if someone could please send something to me, I would like more info on where to stay and cost to Paratrooper Veterans along with a schedule of events to include dates and times as I can only do a 4 day trip from upstate NY... One day drive down to Ft. Bragg, two days at events and one day drive back to Saratoga Springs, NY

    Thanks...
