    Cool MAGForce registered

Hello all, my name is Terry and my Screen Name is MAGForce.

I have been here in the past as a guest, but never Registered.

I am a Veteran, having served in the U.S. Army from 1966 - 1969 and served in Vietnam in from 1967 (Central Highlands), until moving to
    I Corp (Hue-Phu Bai) in 1968.

I served in one small Intel unit (45th MI Det) my whole military experience, beginning in Ft Bragg, first helping the 525 deploy, then moving as a unit to Vietnam and returning to Ft Bragg and assigned to the 15th for nine months awaiting discharge.

I have run into one or two people in the past that have ever heard of the unit and that was after I left and they apparently converted it to Echo Det under 1st MIBARS.

Therefore, I have no clubs to belong to, no battle streamers dating back to Custer and I have no interest in measuring anything against anyone's length or girth and don't won't to know how many silver dollars they can push off the table.

I am a stauch and unrepentant Independent and am not nearly as familiar with the "volunteer" military as I was the RA/US military and I was RA, which means I joined or "volunteered" versus got "drafted" and in those days your ASN (not SSN) designated that fact with a Regular Army (RA).

Although I wanted to serve, as everyone in my family had done...

...if the truth be known, I just wanted out of Macon, GA and couldn't wait to get in "the fight" before it was over! Probably not very smart, but we make good soldiers!

I see a lot of folks here that I know and I honestly do not remember who turned me on to the site, quite a while back... could have been Skysoldier or AbnJack or someone before that, but I do not intend to Pretend, so my role in my era is something I am not real interested in discussing.

    If that is not satisfactory...

...I guess it won't be the first time I have been Banned!

Otherwise, I hope that I have satisfied all the requirements of membership and look forward to future discussions and meeting folks on the Forum.

Recon133, glad someone remembers what an RA meant!

AbnJack, how did you get so high on the reputation board? Damn!

yrualeg, one day maybe... but it is not exciting really... typical Army FU, like so many that occurred... it worked out in the long run, OK though.

I had an older "brother", who was a "101st Abn lifer" and I was always smarter than he was...!

BTW, that guy that keeps jumping across my Reply Screen better be coming from the site graphics department, because I definitely meant to register in the Leg section.

Maybe you guys should look into a guy "humping a ruck and agitating a lot of gravel... I know you have seen legs do it!

No you're good the jumper is there on purpose in your reply window...... I knew that RA was not a draftee, cause my Old man and his Twin Brother got drafted.

And we wonder about this all the time ourselves

I'll take full credit for Jack's high reputation. I'm just trying to assist in his endeavor to rid himself of the reputation he earned in prison. I'm nice that way.

Welcome to the board! Thanks for your service.
