    Thanks, Falschirmjaeger! Good hunting!

    68. Sed fortuna, quae plurimum potest cum in reliquis rebus tum praecipue in bello, parvis momentis magnas rerum commutationes efficit; ut tum accidit. Welcome MAG Great Intro Bro and thank you for your Service to our nation; let me tell you this I just got back from a 5 day stay at the local VA Hospital to regulate my meds and I saw some things during my stay that make me thankful that I have a home to return to. It seems that the 2 current Iraqi Freedom Vets that I saw there were really suffering from problems; and that must have been what you Bros who had problems were like in the VA System after the Vietnam War it was really really sad it seemed like these poor Brothers in Arms were being ignored by the overworked nursing staff on the Ward ... this may have not been the case but at times it sure seemed that way and I could hear the cries of pain of one of the guys complaining of irritable bowel syndrome from Sunday when I checked in til he checked out on Tues or Wed.

I feel for all the other vets coming back from Iraq and Afghanistan cause the VA System will be overtaxed. Let's just hope and pray that the shitheads in DC pull they're head out of they're 4th POC's [roll eyes]; like that's going to happen soon, and start overhauling the VA cause it needs it not only for the older vets but for the newer ones who are going to be needing it for the years to come. Okay, that's enough of my late night commentary for now on the VA everyone and Suprise Suprise; I did it all without the Aid of Coffee either how about that one.

Shortbus: "Welcome and what's wrong with Macon??? There's a damn good BBQ place there, that whenever I'm in the area I go to... I think it's Finches???"

You do get around, don't you! I spent some of my yoot over there on Houston Avenue at Fincher's.

And that's HOW-ston, for you Texans, not HUE-ston and we were there first... James Olgethorpe's penal colony you know and who do you think were in English jails...? Right... the Irish!

The short story is that back in the early 50's... they cut back on a lot of military installations in FL... TX... CA, etc and Warner Robins was elected to be a big Material Air Command (?) and a SAC base (Strategic Air Command = B-52)

My "father" worked at McDill Field and was transferred up to help get the place ready and spent a year there in the barracks before sending for "us" to come and Macon was barely large enough for us all.

They had a massive program with federal mortgages and loans to builders and neighborhoods erupted along with new schools on the southside.

So you can imagine a sleepy little Sidney Lanier portrait of a town along the Ocmulgee River leap from 50,000 to 100,000 to 150,000 people from all over the country and "across the river" was the blue bloods.

Those were the good ole days and story's galore. I used to kid around about three of us got out of there alive and the other two are looking for me now! But that was years ago and now there is only one... and I don't think he's looking anymore.

Keep in mind... I am dyslexic and sometimes I may move a little to fast and confuse some letters, but I do know a finch is a small bird!

I left there to go into the service out of high school in 1966 and came back a few times before I left for NYC in 1969, never to return.

I was born in Tampa also, on Davis Island, but don't quiz me... I was little.

Have one brother and three sisters left (two brothers were killed) and they live over near http://www.jekyllisland.com/. He runs his own six-bay garage and the sisters and his wife run him. He married a girl from all the way up in phreakin' West Virginia thinking he'd be better off.

Its a toss up because if you look in their eyes, you can see the back of their heads, which makes it hard to explain why anybody would do what they said to do!

I have been in the NYC capitalist system and survived quite nicely for nearly 40 years... now you were saying something about a cattle prod?

Thanks Blackflag... I was just hoping out loud that the current change in tempo when Gates took over will take root after the Walter Reed deal.

They not only cleaned house, but they put some pretty good guys in place and have a good program that is being developed using in-patient amputees for example to mentor newcomers versus getting rid of them as soon as possible and dumping them on a understaffed VA system.

The Marines (Navy) have a much better plan than the Army had and they were better prepared to take care of themselves at home.

I am not an expert by any means, but I was impressed watching that new team take hold and I think the pilot should be completed by next Spring!?

Anyway, none of us want to be sick, but it sure helps to have money and insurance as you get older... something younger folks don't think about.

So if you are young, think about it!

I will definitely "steer" clear of your "hooker" monopoly.

Not to anxious to try any of the food products that use those fluid by-products either, but I got nothing against a man making an honest living!
