    Default Robert E. Lee, 1863

I couldn't help but recall these words after General Petraeus reported to Congress , and the ads which ran in the NY Times and the editorials which have followed General Lee was and is the finest example of a Leader is and should be in my opinion......

"It appears we have appointed our worst generals to command forces,
and our most gifted and brilliant to edit newspapers.
In fact, I discovered by reading newspapers that these editor/geniuses
plainly saw all my strategic defects from the start,
yet failed to inform me until it was too late.
Accordingly, I am readily willing to yield my command
to these obviously superior intellects, and I will, in turn,
do my best for the cause by writing editorials - after the fact."

Lo, there do I see my father. Lo, there do I see my mother, my sisters, and my brothers. Lo, there do I see the line of my people, Back to the beginning! Lo, they do call to me. They bid me take my place among them, in the halls of Valhalla! Where the brave may live forever!
