I am retired USAF and I was an aircrew guy who also did 8 years in AFSOC...so I ran into a lot of Rangers and others as you might imagine...still, there's something about this cat that makes me think there is something not right. I'd hate myself if it isn't so, but I would like an opinion from folks who know this regalia better than I.

I wish I could get it to land upright but I don't know your forum's software so well, please, if anyone wants a better look, say so and I will send it direct.

Got out after 3 years and did 3 years in the NG After that I enlisted again and served during Desert Storm.with 2 ACR (I know but when I came back I didn't have a unit of choice). When they left Europe I was sent to 3rd ID. Finally in 93 I was back at Bragg and in 2/505. After several years there it was off to run the MP Companies Aid Station. Kuwait. My name's Walt. Served in the Army from Feb 87 through May 2009. Was enlisted for 14 years, and finished my last 8 years as a Warrant. I was an Air Defender for my entire term of service.

I deployed to Iraq in 2003 with 3rd BN(ABN), 4th ADAR when it was still in the 82nd, then again with 3rd BCT, 3ID(M) in 2005. I graduated Airborne school in Jul 94, and was assigned to 3rd BN(ABN), 4th ADAR the first time in 94, then again later after WOCS in 2001. I graduated the 82 Advanced Airborne School in Apr 96, and was later awarded the coveted Master Parachutist Badge in Jan 2003 (chasing that ever elusive Night AJ!).

Found this site a few weeks ago and have finally gotten around to joining. Years ago I was a member of two other paratrooper sites that have since gone to Fiddler's Green.

Currently I am serving in the Active Duty USAF in St Louis Missori. I am a Govt Rep in the Boeing St Louis factory. In my 12 years of service, I have worked on the following programs: F-22 Raptor, VC-25, QF-4 Phantom, Bomb Fuzes. I have deployed once (Q-West/Tal Afar Iraq) where I oversaw KBR's ops. Also I hung around the resident 2ID guys enough to officially get a combat patch from them (kinda big deal for a AF goober like myself).

I collect firearms, and probably currently have/had practically any milsurp out there. I also ride motorcycles (Triumphs & Harleys) as well. Also, I have gotten back into WWII reenacting, portraying a WWII Ranger (currently) and an 82nd AB Paratrooper (504PIR).

Finally, military history is one of my favorite topics, and it is what I recieved my masters degree in.
